Amber

Beaming Sun

Amber is known for its color and beauty.  It is a fossilized tree resin (not sap) that has been admired and appreciated since Neolithic times.

Most Amber is from the Baltic regions near Russia.  In jewelry making, finding  a tiny mosquito or ant in the Amber can make for an interesting piece.  Did you know that most of the Amber in the world is between 40-60 million years old?

Here at Audrée Grace we try to find some of the more unique pieces of Amber for our collection.  From simple designs to a more modern look, you'll have fun sporting this yellow colored fossil.

The necklace at the bottom left is a Bony Amber.  It owes cloudy opacity to minute bubbles in the interior of the resin.  Amber ranges in color and clarity.
